I've spend quite some time developing the Campaign again. I've added a lot of small features but I'm going to tell some more about diplomacy in this update.
My aim is to make this game a strategy game with a lot of depth. Unlike the first Imperial Domination this game has resources, different units and civil classes. Another aspect that should give this game more depth is the diplomacy feature with a lot of options. Here is a picture of the Diplomacyscreen:

You can send a diplomat to every faction every turn to negotiate. There are different things you can give or ask, like money, knowledge, tradeaccess, militaryacces or a province. The bar at the bottom shows the balance, to indicate how likely the other faction will accept your proposal. The more you interact with other factions the better your relation will be. The better your relation the more likely a faction will accept proposals. When you cancel relations or declare war with a faction with high relations you will get a bad reputation. A bad reputation will make diplomacy harder.
There are four diplomatic relations you can have with other factions: At War, Neutral, a Non-Aggression Pact (NAP) and an alliance. Canceling an alliance or NAP will decrease reputation making it harder to get agreements with other factions.
Besides the diplomacy feature I also programmed the Stats Screen. Every 5 turns it saves the scores (military, income, knowledge and overall) and the political situation. This is what the screen looks like:

The little map shows the political situation for every 5 turns so you can look back how you conquered the world.

I hope you like the update. I will keep working on gameplay and user interaction for a while. This includes making a message system to inform the player at the beginning of a turn of what happened and the implementation of the battles in the campaign. I also have to balance things more. When those things are done I will take a look at the AI again. Man I keep postponing that.
